Infodream and Project Partner R&D Caribe
Infodream have been asked to intervene transversely with the partners of R&D Caribe to provide our expertise and know-how in the field of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
R&D Caribe aims to develop lightweight magnesium alloys for the aerospace industry. The challenge for us is to minimize the environmental impact of aircraft.
R&D Caribe has been developed by the Aerospace Valley cluster (Aquitaine Midi Pyrenees), and co-labeled by Arve Industries (Rhone-Alpes).
The program starts in autumn 2010 and will last for 3 years. It brings together a consortium of 21 entities including major corporations, SMEs, universities and research centers. Notable participants include:
- Eurocopter,
- Liebherr Aerospace,
- Messier Foundry
- Turbomeca (The clear leader of the consortium)
The work being led by Infodream in this ambitious project carries a significant challenge, as it is to acquire control of processes in the implementation of magnesium through three businesses: casting, machining and corrosion treatment.
Under this program, the General Council of Savoie is contributing up to €107 000 in funding for Infodream.
