Compliance and traceability is extremely important to the majority of our clients and is a very strong feature of SPC Vision. We work extensively within the aerospace and pharmaceutical industries where regulatory requirements are very stringent.

Customer & regulatory compliance

The benefits of being able to demonstrate both customer and regulatory compliance are all too obvious and there does not need to be any further benefit other than simply being compliant. However, working with our industrial partners we have managed to enhance basic 'compliance' functionality so that there are other associated benefits which really add value.

ERP Integration

As described in the 'Business Integration' section, SPC Vision can be interfaced with an ERP system to provide a high level of traceability and robust configuration control.

Quick & easy data retrieval

All data can be quickly and easily retrieved from SPC Vision and the database can be searched using many different criteria. Multi level traceability functions such as product structures, serial numbers and batch numbers allow for very powerful data management, linking large assemblies to lower level products and elementary parts. As an example, imagine there is a quality problem during a final assembly process, SPC Vision makes it very easy to retrieve serial numbers and measurements of associated sub products and then serial numbers, batch numbers and measurements of lower level components. Alternatively, if a problem is detected on a batch of elementary parts, the affected higher level products and assemblies can easily be identified and measurements retrieved. This drastically reduces the time taken to effectively contain and manage the problem.

Using the powerful data management features described above in conjunction with the shopfloor process and product data, really helps manage and resolve production quality issues and determine the true 'root cause' of the problem.
